Liz Greichunos - LPCC

Liz is an LPC candidate and works with children and families using an out of the box clinical approach integrating EFT, CBT and experiential clinical work. A former caseworker, she has familiarity with the complexities of community based work and has a passion for working with teens and children. She also has a background with substance abuse comorbidity and can work with clients who present with this challenge.

My Story

Originally from Michigan, Liz started her mental health journey after pursuing an internship at an addiction clinic during her senior year at Western Michigan University. From there Liz went to Minnesota State University Moorhead to complete a graduate program and continue focusing on the connection between mental health and addiction. After graduating from MSUM she moved to the beautiful state of Colorado in 2019 and found herself working as a child welfare caseworker in Jefferson County. During this time her passion for working with children and families grew. Liz gained insight and knowledge to deep rooted childhood trauma, and the factors of resiliency. Wanting to work with children and families more directly in a therapeutic capacity, Liz joined High Mountain Counseling in 2021. Bringing knowledge and experience from various systems including addictions, corrections, human services, and foster care; Liz works with children, adolescents, and adults in creative ways to guide healing from past trauma and attachment concerns.
