LPCC Supervision

If you are an LPC candidate, and are looking to start your career in the private sector, we can help. At High Mountain Counseling, we are looking for interested candidates that have a passion for out of the box clinical work, particularly community based, who want to learnt the craft of developing and maintaining a diverse and successful private practice.

Why the private practice path?

The traditional path once a clinician finishes graduate school is to start working at an agency, hospital or school. Whereas there are advantages to this including the supportive structure one may need, there are downsides as well including secondary trauma depending on the type of agency, copious amounts of paperwork and bureaucracy that interfere with good clinical work, higher case and stress loads, lower pay and a more rigid schedule. The private sector, when organized well, can reduce or eliminate many of these agency downfalls and help a new clinician gain the experience and supervision they need to move towards licensure. If you are the adventurous type, and think you may be a good fit, contact us for more information.
